Fitness-  The Mighty Workout Buddy!

We all enjoy eating healthy and keeping up with good fitness practices. However, many of us will usually not engage in going to the gym to exercise unless we invite a workout buddy.

The Mens Tank Top three reasons why one would prefer to go to the gym with someone else, instead of alone, are listed below:

1. Get Out Of Your House!

We all need motivation. Many people usually do not feel like leaving the comfort of their own homes to go sweat all over their sexy and awesome Gym wear in public and move their body in crazy positions in front of strangers, to work out all alone. However, if one was to call a friend to join them, they would not only have the responsibility of showing up, they would also feel the accountability of doing their entire training routine from start to finish regardless of how silly they think they look. Plus, it helps to have someone to talk to and help carry huge workout bags when needed.

2. Help... It's A Machine!

Many of us can attest to the fact that we have never been comfortable on gym machines. Even when they are used frequently, some may still feel akward and need some reassurance. They may feel the need to have someone there available to tell them if their form is good or not. Plus, it just feels nice to have someone there in general. Buddies can offer to hold each others gym towel and keep track of each others reps so that one can individually concentrate and focus on resistance and range of motion. It is as if both people become personal trainers for one another for free!

3. Support!

Some of us need more support than others. The fact that some people perform better with a friend at their side does not mean that they are weak or emotionally needy. It simply stresses the importance of encouragement and knowing that we are not alone when it comes to fitness. People need people and it is practical and wise for us to set a schedule to work out with a buddy in order to make life healthier and our bodies more effective.

Fitness- Remember Your Workout Buddy!

I enjoy eating healthy and keeping up with good fitness practices such as going for a hike or a long walk. However, I will usually not engage in going to the gym to exercise unless I have a workout buddy.

Golds Gym- Men's Workout Clothes

Finding quality men's workout clothes for cheap prices can be a challenge, but it does not have to be. My boyfriend and I have finally learned that if we purchase the mainstream fitness wear, found in most popular chain stores, we are going to end up paying "more" money in the long run. The reason for this is based on the wear and tear of the product. After plenty of use and frequent washing, the material begins to fade, stretch or shrink, and thin out. Thus prompting us to repeat an endless cycle of having to go out again and again to shop for more workout clothes and spend more money on products that only provide a minimal amount of comfort and use.

A Practical Choice For Men Think long term! Most men want to invest their money on clothes that is durable and will last a long time. The majority of my male friends visit a local gym two to six times per week, depending on their needs and schedules. Many of the bodybuilders I know train daily! They have told me that the gym clothing they choose not only has to provide comfort, but it also needs to feel good and of course... make them look good.

Research and Ask Questions With thorough research and through interviewing male friends who go to the gym about three times a week, or on a daily basis, I was able to narrow down my choices to a few well known brands:

Golds Gym

• World Gym

• Powerhouse Gym

• Pitbull Gym

• Crazee Wear

A Miracle! Here is a Secret! Shh! One of the individuals I approached with my inquiries shared an incredible secret with me! There is actually an online store that sells "ALL" of these brands! I had no idea! My boyfriend and I purchased a few items and now he is hooked.

Usually when I find such a treasure, I am tempted to selfishly keep the information to myself and not share the wealth. However, the selfless part of me knows that there is enough for everyone and that all men are worthy of knowing and experiencing great fitness wear.

Tank Tops For Men - In and Out of the Gym

After much contemplation, I have decided that men who wear tank tops to the gym are "practical and intelligent" versus being egocentric and that it is absolutely tasteful and acceptable for men to wear a tank top in public. Read on to find out why:

In the Gym

In my own personal observation of men, wearing a Tank Top while they workout, I basically acknowledge the fact that they simply want the comfort of a Y Back,  or seek flexibility of movement while wearing a racerback tank. They are not usually showing signs of being narcissistic.

In my professional opinion, men benefit from the physical act of seeing the "visual" of their bare arms and muscles pumping up. As they watch their body function and have the opportunity to focus on their range of motion, men are actually provided with a powerful and positive psychological effect. This gives them a purpose and serves as motivation and reinforcement for their hard work and dedication to health and bodybuilding.

Out of the Gym

Although the majority of Mens Tank Top are designed as fitness wear for workouts, there is no rule that prohibits men from wearing them as casual wear. There seems to be a negative stigma attached to their use in public. I do not understand this way of thinking do to the fact that each and every one of us is entitled to our own preferences and are free to choose our own proper clothing as we see fit.

One Woman's Thoughts

As a woman, when it is hot outside, I prefer to wear spaghetti strapped tops and/or sleeveless dresses to keep my body temperature cool. Why would it be any different for men? I also feel that if women's curves are allowed to be defined by tight fitting garments in society, then mens hard earned, beautifully defined arms and curvaceous muscles need not be an issue.

A Few Good Men's Perspective

I had the opportunity to converse with a group of Male friends on this subject and their responses came down to one simple question: "Who cares what others think? We just want to feel comfortable."

Fitness- A Brief Review of Exercise in the United States

Fitness in the United States has greatly evolved over the centuries. Following is a very brief historical review:

Colonial Times

In the colonial period which is from 1700-1776, there was no need for the fitness centers and exercise classes that are offered in our present day world. The lifestyle during this time was filled with physical activity based on day to day survival. Plowing the land to grow crops, herding cattle, hunting and maintaining a household provided plenty of body movement to meet the sufficient needs of having a healthy and fit physique.

National Period

From the years 1776-1860, the United States entered what was called the National Period. European immigrants introduced gymnastics and early political leaders recommended daily physical activity such as swimming and running. However, fitness was seen as recreational.

The Industrial Revolution

The Post Civil War era between 1865-1900 introduced the use of machines to advance industrial and mechanical technologies. In other words, human labor decreased, leading americans to require less physical movement. This introduced physical ailments that had not been much of an issue before, such as Type 2 Diabetes, certain Cancers and cardiovascular diseases.

World War I and II

In 1917, the United States joined its forces into World War I. This called for military personnel to "get fit" and train for combat and battle. The trend continued with World War II in 1941. Many of our fitness wear today is inspired by what our soldiers wore in training such as camouflage pants.

1950's

The 1950's led Americans into a lifestyle where many jobs required sitting down and automobiles replaced most of the walking. This created a "need" to develop ways to motivate citizens to move their bodies in different ways to keep themselves healthy.

The Jack Lalanne Show was one of the first television shows that taught Americans how to exercise from the comfort of their own homes. Other personalities followed in later years, such as Jane Fonda and Richard Simmons. Workout clothes became popular and schools became serious about teaching Physical Education to children and teens.

1960's To Present Day

Early gym chains were founded during this period, including Gold's Gym which opened in 1965. In the 1980's, large Corporations began to offer on campus Fitness Centers for their employees. By the time the 1990's arrived, wide spread use of gym centers had become "normal" and exercise became an "expectation" and a highly suggested requirement for all Americans to engage in. Today, there are countless centers and classes for all to choose from.

Fashion

In regards to present day fashion, the fitness world has created a craze of certain items such as gym Mens Tank Top and yoga pants that are worn as casual wear by many people on a daily basis, whether they attend a gym or not.

Future

What started out as a means of daily survival for physical health and exercise has now evolved into a necessity to balance a sedentary lifestyle. Who knows what the future may hold in regards to Fitness!

Tank Tops For Men - Indoors and in Public

In contrast to what many people think or feel about men who work out in tank tops, men who are into fitness have proven time after time to be "practical and intelligent" versus being the assumed egocentric individuals. In addition, it is absolutely tasteful and acceptable for men to wear a Mens Tank Top in public. Read on to find out why:

Women.

In the summer months, when it is hot outside, many women prefer to wear spaghetti strapped tops and/or sleeveless dresses to keep their body temperature cool. Why would it be any different for men to want to be comfortable in warm weather? There is also the valid argument that if women's curves are allowed to be defined by tight fitting garments in public, then why would it be an issue when men wear tank tops that show their hard earned muscles?

Perspective.

The fact is that when one asks men what they think and how they feel about this subject, their responses usually are narrowed down to one simple question: "Why would we even care what others think? We just want to feel comfortable."
